White Rabbit Costume
The White Rabbit costume is from the story of Alice in Wonderland. He makes a brief appearance in the story, but without him, the adventure might never have happened!
You see, Alice's adventures in Wonderland started with the White Rabbit crying out, "Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late!" He scrambles down a rabbit hole, and Alice follows him, right into Wonderland.
And actually, the White Rabbit shows up again two more times in the story; once he mistakes Alice for a servant, and the other is when he serves as a herald of sorts to the Queen of Hearts.
(As as aside, the White Rabbit should not be confused with the March Hare, another furry friend from the Alice saga.)

Mad Hatter Costume for Adult Sizes
The Mad Hatter is a character from Alice in Wonderland, and yes, there are Mad Hatter costumes for adult sizes. They just might not quite be what you expect!
Here's a piece of trivia; did you know that the character is only referred to as the "Hatter" in the book? It's the Cheshire Cat that warns Alice that the Hatter is a bit "mad". Well, that's all it took!
Poor Mad Hatter, he is sentenced to always live at the time of 6:00 PM. This is because when the Hatter tried to sing at a celebration for the Queen of Hearts, she sentenced him to death for "the murder of time". (Guess that means the Mad Hatter doesn't have much of a singing voice...)
At any rate, the costumes for the Mad Hatter tend to fall into one of two looks. First is the traditional costume from the Disney movie. The other is a decidedly more un-traditional look focused on the feminine gender.

Queen of Hearts Costume
The Queen of Hearts costume for adults can go one of two ways. It can be a little "nothing" costume or it can be true to the Alice in Wonderland story.
In the story of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, the Queen of Hearts is bad-tempered indeed. She's quick to hand out death sentences at the slightest offense.
And of course, the Queen of Hearts's most famous line, is "Off with their heads!"
But in addition to her penchant for ordering executions, the Queen like the game of croquet...only she plays with hedgehogs for the balls and flamingoes for the mallets. The lady is quite interesting to say the least!

Alice in Wonderland Costume for Adults
An Alice in Wonderland costume is simple, yet it's quite recognizable. Blue dress, white pintafore and blonde hair. No wonder this is a popular costume!
Alice's background starts way, way back in 1865, when she first came to life through the writings of Lewis Carroll. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is an enduring classic, along with the sequel, Alice Through the Looking Glass.
It wasn't until 1951 that Disney jumped in, with its own animated version of Alice's story. And naturally, it was a success!
