Mary Poppins Costumes
Mary Poppins was a delightful Disney movie about a magical English nanny. And fortunately, her costume is quite recognizable as the consumate nanny.

Snow White Witch Costume
The Snow White witch costume is actually just another costume for the evil queen in the movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
The evil queen is actually Snow White's stepmother, who is vexed that Snow White has been named the fairest in the land. And when the huntsman she commanded to kill Snow White didn't, she came up with a new plan.
She transformed herself into a hag and went to the dwarve's house where Snow White was living. And as the hag (AKA witch), she offers Snow White a poisoned apple, which caused her to fall under a spell.

Pluto Costume for Adults
A Pluto costume is instantly recognizable as the lovable dog from Disney. But do you know what makes Pluto different from almost all the rest of the Disney characters?
Pluto is one of the very few easily recognizable Disney characters that is really what he appears to be -- in this case, a dog. Contrast Pluto with Goofy (also a dog) and you see what I mean.
Pluto started out as Mickey's pet, but has evolved somewhat, even to becoming the star of a few Disney short movies. And while his list of friends is long, his list of, um, not-very-friendly "friends" include Donald Duck and Chip 'N Dale. Yikes!

Wendy Costume From Peter Pan
The Wendy costume is based on the Wendy character from the book and movie Peter Pan. Wendy is the "mother" figure for Peter Pan and the rest of the Lost Boys in Neverland.

In the books and movie, Wendy's age is unsure, but it's presumed to be somewhere around 12 years old. She's young enough to still believe in fairy tales, but old enough to understand reality. While in Neverland, Wendy crosses paths with Tinker Bell, Princess Tiger Lily, the Lost Boys and (of course) Captain Hook.
Wendy decides that she (and her borthers) must return to the real world from Neverland, but it always holds a fond place in their hearts.

Mulan Costume for Adults
The Mulan costume for adults features a Disney Princess that most people aren't aware of. Mulan's character is based on the Chinese legend of Hua Mulan.
The story of the Disney film starts when the Huns invade China and the Chinese government decides to conscript (i.e. draft) the males from each family that are old enough to join the army.
Mulan has no brothers and despite her father being older and infirm, he is taken to join the army. Mulan decides that she will pose as a boy and runs away to join the army.
This film is rather different for Disney, as the character of Mulan isn't portrayed as a helpless female (except for in the beginning). Mulan's character is stronger than the average Disney princess, and she evetually acquits herself honorably in the army's fighting. By the end of the movie, she is presented to the Emperor, who gives her a special commendation and gifts.
